HYPERMOBILITY SATELLITE CLINIC – NEW LOCATIONS

Natalie Bennett-Bremner, a Sports Physiotherapist , specialising in the Management of Hypermobility Disorders, will be holding a Satellite Clinic on Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th November 2011 in Sydney . Natalie has given workshops to Physiotherapists all over Australia, on the Assessment and Management of Hyperobility Disorders and other Connective Tissue Disorders and treatment of childhood musculo-skeletal conditions. She has also been an Invited Guest Speaker at The Australian Rheumatological Association Scientific Meeting, Australian Podiatry Association and Sports Medicine Australia Conferences and Symposiums. Kidz Clinic and the Hypermobility Clinic for Adults have their main office in Perth, W.A. However Natalie Bennett-Bremner is now running Satellite Clinics in Sydney ( Manly area) and South West region of W.A. (Dunsborough) to assess and provide a management plan for children with hypermobility issues, difficulties with gait ( pigeon toeing/knock knees) or other difficult presentations.

Natalie will be conducting individual assessments and specialised physiotherapy management of musculoskeletal disorders such as Hypermobility Disorders, Coordination Issues, Poor Running Styles, Pigeon Toe/Knock Kneed Gait and any other concerns of a musculoskeletal nature in babies, children and teens. The child/parent will receive a take home folder of information on the diagnosed condition, an individualised exercises program, management advice for school/home/sport, letters of explanation for school/G.P./sporting clubs and contact references for professionals in your area that could also assist your child as necessary (Podiatrists, Speech Therapist, Paediatric Rheumatologists). The exercise/management programs can then be supervised by a local physiotherapist , in consultation with Natalie, or programs can be revised at the following Satellite Clinic dependent on your requirements. Natalie can also provide you with a DVD of instructions/demonstrations of the specified exercises if desired , otherwise you are welcome to film your session to assist with remembering the desired movement patterns etc.

Natalie will also have stock on hand of the SPIRAL THIGH BRACE for applicable children who wish to trial/purchase the garment designed for pigeon toe/knock knee gaits (femoral anteversion) and uncoordinated running styles (see www.strapsbracing.com) .The Spiral Thigh Brace was recently announced the Winner the Medical Innovation Episode of  the ABC TV New Inventors program for 2011.

    hi i have heard rumours that you are holding a satelite clinic in brisbane and was wanting some more info if you are for my 10 yo with severe classical Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. She is about to get one of your shoulder braces but would now love some advice about her legs..
